Your Gift

What is your gift?

The one thing that makes your heart sing.

A natural gift.

Or a spiritual gift.

Either one.

Or both.

Does something come to mind?

Proverbs 18:16 (NKJV) "A man's gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men."

This proverb isn't a promise, of course.

God decides where our gift will take us.

If we're wise enough to let Him, that is.

Clutching it too tightly will choke the life out it.

Maybe not now.

But eventually.

Two things:

*May we always realize it's a GIFT

What have we received that we have not been given by the Lord?

*May we care more about honoring God with it than honoring ourselves

To Him be the glory!

And another thing.

Great men are still men.

May I never make their approval more important than God's.

One final thought: Your gift is meant to be shared.

Never to be worshipped and isolated.

But shared.

Unwrap it.

Use it.

Desire to please the Giver.

The joy that follows is the best gift of all.
