I'm A Food Cop

I admit it.

I'm a Food Cop.

There's always one in every family.

My beat: the kitchen.
My mission: stamp out the crimes of waste and haste.

"No more wasting food!"
"No more eating everything up the day we bring home the groceries!"

It's kind of a Dad thing to do.
And despite what my two boys think, I'm not on a power trip.
They might suspect my motive is more sinister that it appears.
Something like... "He who rules the food rules the house!"
Not true.
My only request is that they bow before me before asking to open the fridge.

Smile :)

Seriously, in these tough economic times we have to be more careful with our cash.
It's estimated the average family spends at least 30% of it's monthly income on groceries.
Trimming that a little might make a BIG difference.

I found some excellent tips this morning online.
Most of the tips I haven't seen before.
That could mean one of two things:

1) I'm completely out of touch
or
2) They're not well known.

Either way I hope they help.
