Sandpaper People

Beware of...... the "Sandpaper People!"
Sounds like a movie.
"This Christmas... irritation has a new name... The Sandpaper People!"
Do you have anyone is your life right now who rubs you the wrong way?
They're abrasive, plain and simple.
Maybe they're even a brother or sister in Christ.
It happens.
But the truth is, everything goes through God's hands in the life of a believer.
Even the smallest details.
Have we considered the fact that God may want to smooth our rough edges a bit?
Challenge us to grow in our faith through the abrasive personality of someone we deal with on a regular basis?

It helps develop our "faith muscles" in areas we may otherwise ignore.
The key is to respond in a way that honors Christ.
With patience.
Kindness.
Long suffering.
Remember Jesus Himself had to deal with MANY "Sandpaper People."
He didn't need any rough edges knocked off, of course.
He was and is perfect.
What He was doing was showing us how to respond in the right way.

If we're dealing with a Sandpaper Person right now we need to read the Gospels.. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John with this in mind.
Learn from Christ.
Not always getting it right.
But getting better at it.
It's really the wise thing to do.
Because maybe God will keep that Sandpaper Person in our lives until we learn the lesson we need to learn.
Now THAT'S irritating!
