"It's never too late to do the right thing."
A cliché?
Absolutely.
But clichés are clichés because they have a lot of truth in them.
That's why we use them so much.
This story about two girls basketball teams in Texas is a wonderful example of making a mistake, owning up to it, and doing the right thing.
A special round of kudos because this involves a Christian school.

You know what?
This story reminds me of... well... ME.
I fail.
I confess my sin.
1 John 1:9 (ESV) 9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."
It's not my confession that secures my forgiveness.
It's the blood of Jesus shed on the cross that makes forgiveness possible.
In fact, He rose from the grave and is standing up for me right now in Heaven:
Hebrews 7:25 (ESV) 25 "Consequently, he (Jesus) is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them."
I can go on, knowing I'm forgiven.
Romans 8:1 (ESV) 1 "There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."
Out of the grace God has shown me, I can show grace to others.
It's never too late for that.
